MainoaDESIGN is a craft group formed
in 2006, by Irma Annanpalo (Studio Irma Annanpalo / wood work), Terhi Vähäsalo
(Sievin Savi Oy / porcelain tableware), and Aika Urata (Aika Felt Works
/ felt works), who live and work in the north Finland.
The designers of
mainoa DESIGN are independent craft producers working in each companies,
but commonly their works have warmth of handwork and respect for the natural
materials, and spiritual influence from the nature of the north Finland.
mainoa DESIGN has had 7 sales exhibitions in Japan and 2 exhibitions in Finland since the beginning of its activity.
mainoa DESIGN SHOP is located in Rovaniemi, Finland, the Arctic city in Finnish Lapland. mainoa DESIGN SHOP sells craft and design products from more than 20 designers from whole Finland in addition to mainoa DESIGN's products.
